Exploring Eerily Empty TRW Headquarters Before Demolition

The TRW headquarters in Lyndhurst, OH is a stunning example of modern architecture. Designed in 1985 by renowned Chicago architectural firm FCL Associates, the building features a unique design that incorporates natural light, moving water, and an open floor design to create an inviting and collaborative work environment.
The sprawling 480,000-square-foot building, which was once home to the automotive supplier TRW, is now slated for demolition. The building, which was valued at roughly $60 million, has been on the market since 2019. Cleveland Clinic, now plans to raze the building to attract a wider range of potential buyers. Rumors state demolition could start as early as June of 2023.
As more companies shift to remote work, there may be less of a need for ornate corporate campuses like the TRW headquarters.
